I've been playing the game for a while now and have visited nearly every city and danced with most of the governor's daughters but I have yet to receive a map to a Lost City. I was wondering exactly what I need to do to receive a map to a lost city.

Also, I keep getting information that the treasure fleet is sailing to Havana, but I never seem see one sailing on the map and I haven't caught one in the harbor yet. I remember in the original, you had to catch it in the harbor but I figured since you can see other ships, you'd be able to see a huge treasure fleet sailing around. I was also wondering if there is a Silver Train in this game too.

And my final question is if you end up marrying one of the governor's daughters, can you still sail around and woo other daughters, because from what I've read they're the way you get maps to lost cities, and like I said before, I haven't been able to get a lost city map.

I just thought of one more question. Does it matter how much wealth you attain after you have 32/32 wealth points or however many points it is? And does your difficulty level have any bearing on how high your final score is or does it just determine how much of a cut you get from your plunder?

Maxor127-- I voted, but to lazy right now to post the answers, I might just cut and paste them from other areas of the forum. They are all answered in here somewhere.. Sorry.. tired..

Can't vote because I played it on an Atari ST hooked up with a Yamaha keyboard (the ones that make music kids, not those for typing <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ). Now THAT made for some nice midi music.

I tried searching the forum but I don't think Search is working. I searched for Lost Cities and got about 5000 matches and none of the ones i checked even had the words lost cities in them.

I tried to include all of the versions I knew of. If you played the Atari ST, you should vote for Apple IIgs, since in my experience the two systems seemed to have similar ports. Did the Atari ST version begin with the word Pirates! in red with a color gleaming effect that shimmered across the word? I don't think I can vote for my own poll, otherwise I'd choose IIgs, although the Amiga version is better and the best since the new one (I hate Pirates! Gold and played it for only a couple hours before becoming disgusted with it). But I grew up playing the IIgs one and didn't come across the Amiga version until later through emulation and it crashed a lot and corrupted save games. But the graphics and sound were great and much better than any other version to date (although I think it came out a few years later).

Hello Maxor127 <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" />

I got all this maps from my lovely spanish girl I married in maracaibo. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> One big disadvantage was that one of these Lost Cities lies in the deepest jungle around Vera Cruz. That was really a happy searching. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

The treasure fleet nowadays (not on the good old fashioned Amiga) were several treasure gallons. Look out for them , take them and get your fortune. No Silvertrain so far, sorry <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I´ll miss that too.

If you married a gouvernors daughter you can still get informations by the other gouvernors daughters. But you can only marry once. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

I've only ever seen a barmaid say that the Treasure Fleet is heading to Havana and once to Europe. I waited outside Havana for a year and checked the bar frequently to make sure they still said it was heading to Havana, but I never found it and eventually gave up. I did see a single Treasure Galleon though that I took for a measely sum of gold. I've read elsewhere that the fleet has a path and begins with several galleons and it travels to around the Caribbean and collects gold from the Spanish ports until it ends in Havana and heads back to Europe, and along the way it can lose some of its ships. So supposedly the longer you wait until it heads out of Havana for Europe with a full cargo of gold, then it's the best time to take the fleet out. So would it be safe to say that whenever a treasure galleon is found, it belongs to the Treasure Fleet? Because I've seen treasure galleons around, but never together in a fleet, but maybe that's because some already got sunk and they hadn't amassed a large amount of gold yet. I miss the old Treasure Fleet where it was just a matter of finding it in the right time and place in the harbor of a city and getting a huge amount of gold.

Just follow the treasure galleon a while. If it stops in front of one of the towns in the list and doesn´t sail into port, you have found the Treasure Fleet (or what is left of it).
