Lost cities

DROW

Landlubber
My character is now really old and i have 80 fame. I want to find lost cities ( 0/16 on it ) and i really odnt know how...

how we do?

You need to do well at the grand balls with the ladies first. Once you cultivate a relationship with them and visit the governor later on, he'll tell you that a Colonel Mendoza has kidnapped his daughter. Chase him down and rescue her, then bring her back to Daddy. She'll give you a fragment of a map. You'll have to rescue 3 or 4 of those girls before you have a full map.

The cities will be far inland, too. You'll have to march for a long time to find it. Make sure to keep your bearings. Just a heads up.

This sort of relates to this thread and the one further down about maps possibly being outright wrong. I have a lost cities map that says there's one south of Campeche and the landmark it sows is Captain's Stone. Well, I can get there very fine and good--it's in the shallows on the eastern side of the peninsula--but once I make landfall and search around, the lost city is, well, lost. It isn't where it's supposed to be. And I don't think I'm flubbing up because the landmarks are all there where they should be, and I'm not too green on land searches because I've rescued all my relatives, found all the pirate treasures, and sniffed out Marquis Montalban's hideout. So what's the deal? Is it pooey or what? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":c" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

Actually the easiest way to get the maps to the lost cities is to rescue all of you family and find Montie`s hideout first. Then if you were lucky enough to marry a beautiful bird, everytime you visit her and win the dancing game you will get a peice of the map. So just dance 4 times in a row to get the full map, find the city, rinse and repeat for all 4.

You'd be wondering why your wife doesn't just give you all the maps at once, makes you want to shoot her for making you dance 4 times

Maybe the reason she doesn't give you all four is to make you come home more often and to spend more time with her <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I'm just happy she did not run away with other pirates/sailor while I'm gone. (Anyone plays Port Royale 2 game will know)

What do you think she's doing while you're away? I mean, it's not like you keep taps on each other...I say that you and your lady has a sort of...open relationship...

I have an idea

Why not simply tell us where it is and f**k the dancing Arghhh!!!!!!!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Cheers <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

I think it's a nice relationship...
"Yeah, I just got in..."
"What did you do?"
"Oh, nothing"
"Wanna dance?"
"Sure!"
"Here's a map to 50.000 gold"
"Thanks"
...
Seems good to me

I'm not a twinkletoes at dancing, but I like it, heh... Especially if I'm doing it wrong and keep stumbling ("ahhHEM!") (haha!) - then when she tosses up her hands at you afterwards because you're so USELESS, ya just look so darned hangdog that it makes me laugh my clumsy butt off! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

It look a bit like a totem, but its more like a prism then a totem, redish in colour and a little shorter so it doesnt stick out as much. Often have to find the landmarks and figure out where it should be until you know what it looks like <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

this is for burdurhun

If you havent found that lost city east of Campache I can tell you why...there are 2 captains stones. I had the same problem as my uncle was located in the same place. Go farther south than the Captains stone you are finding and you will find another one. That is most likely your problem. Drove me up a wall until I figure it out.
