Hello all,

For some reason the August updates mean trouble. Why? I don't know. Something somewhere is pretty seriously wrong. Especially as boarding is concerned. Please post here the latest version of the modpack that did work for you.
 
Well m8 , I know u and many other doing alot to make the pre build 13 as smooth/stable as possiable but I download and install it on 2 pc 's . One is IBM with Nvidia GeForce 6600 and the other is Dell with ATI Readon series 300x . The IBM keep crashing whenever it loads a scene for the first time like an island , ship belong to a nation with emblem .. etc . The Dell is also crashing but less often as the IBM , specially when it comes to boarding but since I recentlly downloaded the 5th Aug update I thought maybe something wrong with my pc's/cards .

I never had problems with build 12.0 ( theone released before 1 year ) so I think it is still needs fixing .

Don't get furstrated , am sure u guys will end up with great unbugy build .
 
What modpack update are you having these problems with? Pre Build 13 Base? August 5?
 
I first installed 13 base then extract the 5th Aug on top of it but am doing it again now and will see what will happen .
 
Ok , just to let u know . I reinstalled the 5th Aug and all the boarding I did were fine and no crashes , however , I noticed few things like when I transffer from world map to see battle map :

- Sometimes enemy ships doesn't appear on mini-map !! Can still see them on screen but not as normal red targets on mini-map .

- Sometimes I see enemy ship(s) on mini-map and they r grey and they just stop and don't move or attack !! Even my cannons don't open fire when I hit space and they r within range ( ship didn't surrender yet ) !!

On other topic , how to ransom captured captain ?? Uses to do that on passenger screen but it is not working here , any idea ??

I'm using Post Build 12 (9/2/06), updated accordingly, with my last update installed being pre_b13_update_11-7-06. Apart from some of the well documented bugs it's quite playable.

Hmmm <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> I must of missed 19/7/06 or maybe was a little hesitant to get it... can't remember. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I'm using the August 5th update and all work fine for me. I'm trying boarding, fighting, sea-battles, treasure hunt, smuggling, Quests and so on. And everything looks well to me.
So what kind of bug occure in the latest update? I didn't found one.

The only thing is that I can't insert more than 17 pirate custom emblems on red sails. With black and white sails there is no problem.

And the running and walking animation of Blaze Devlin is way too slow. But that's not an August 5th update bug. It was in since the Blaze Devlin model has been inserted.
