Solved Interface Screens

The game won't allow me to get to the interface screens so I am not allowed to look at my quest book or anyo f those other important things.. I have gone to change the keyboard settings and it wont let me change the button to the Open Player Status Screen (Its dulled out). Does anyone understand what I am saying? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Do you know anyway to fix it? I don't have a suggestion for a fix, but someone else will probably be along and will be able to help you out. I haven't heard of anyone else having that specific problem, but maybe someone else has.

You might want to give a little more information; are you playing with the generic POTC, or with the Builds or other modifications. Whatever system information you are comfortable providing might also help someone solve the problem you're having. Good Luck!
 
Player status screen

I'm having the same problem. The "player status screen" key dont work on the Pirates of Caribbean and it wont allow me to change it. I have uninstalled and installed the game and set the game to use defalt keys, but nothing changes. I even looked for any fixes, findind that might be some sort of copyright protection, but haven't found anything.
Please, if you have solved this problem already, I would be glad to know how you did it.
PS: I have Win XP Pro. And if it's usefull, the first box the apears when the game is loaded, shows that 0 modules are loaded (I found that strange, but don't know if it's a problem).

YARRR, all

I'm having the same problem. F2 didn't work after a fresh as a daisy disk hymen splitting install. I intalled the 14b mod for giggles (this computer can handle no such thing), but no such luck. Then I uninstalled the game (does this remove the mod?), updated my display drivers (GeForce FX 5200), and reinstalled the game. I'll have it on the plank in a minute, 'coz it still aint workin.

Editing this line in the init_pc file worked for me:
CI_CreateAndSetControls( "Sailing1Pers", "Interface", CI_GetKeyCode("VK_F2"), 1, true );

Originally it ended 0, false );

Then I reassigned the key in game.

In PROGRAM\CONTROLS\init_pc.c you can change the controls for your game. Search for "MainMenu" and "Interface". Let's hope that enables you to get into those interfaces. :doff
You need to reset your controls to default afterwards for the changes to take effect.

Deleting the game folder deletes the mod too. Everything is in your POTC folder. I just installed a pure dog stock POTC to see what you are talking about. So it is working now?

Perhaps you could run Build 13. It doesn't strain the hardware as much and is far better than the stock game. PotC Build 13 Final download - Mod DB

Goody! I did spot a few hold-over files, but so long as I haven't a gig or two goin lazin on deck, I'm chipper.

Aye, Open Player Status Screen is now working :D. I haven't fully tested the game for crashes.

Perhaps you could run Build 13.

Hi, i instaled POTC the original (again and again) without any mods i cannot change the Player status screen control button and when i instal mod 13 i cannot use bothe player status screen or open main menu as on the pic below.. pls help ?

I have Dell Inspirion 15 / 3000 series
Intel Core i-7 5500U CPU @ 2,40 GHz
8gb Ram
64bit Operating system
Windows 7 Ultimate
