FIRST: If you have Starforce on your PC, you can remove it by going to this site:

You must download this to enable modding:

This is a "No CD" crack that includes the program folder. If you install by the DVD only, the program folder will NOT be installed and you will be forced to use Starforce to play the game. This is being posted for the the purpose of modding the game ONLY. sooooooooooo, in other words, people who have the DVD version can't uninstall SF? Only the CD versions?!

Can you pleeeeeeaaaaaaase find a way to uninstall DVD drive SF, because I want to take a shot at modding.
 
I don't believe there is a cd version of this game

I think we all own the DvD version <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I cannot get this to work, can someone please help me? What is the step-by-step procedure for this? I installed the game, inserted the new engine, module & program folders into the game directory, and then ran the SF removal tool. When I try to run the game, I get as far as the "blue waves" screen, but then get a Windows run-time error popup. Tried it several times, but always end up having to replace the original files in order to get the game to run. Grrrr! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
I'm using Win XP Pro w/SP2 if that helps..
 
1 unistall the game
2 Use the sf removal tool
3 reinstall th game
4 use the Cd crack

that's it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> (you don't need to instert program folders manualy, they just "pop up" if you don't have SF installed

Nope. Sf is installed the first time you run the game, not when you acctualy only install it
(N.B. this is not true for all games, some games do install SF with the game install

Well, I followed your steps, and now it works! Thankee mate, ol' Cap'n Tucker be much obliged! Dunno why it didn't work before, but I'll not be complainin' abaout it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
will this still work even now the update is out? i don't suppose it will but you never know. Incidently i bought the game but i still use the NO-DVD as i don't believe i should be forced to use starforce if i don't want to

nope. not yet. the fastest sollution is to use CyberOps mode (S.M.1.1) when 'll be done (2 days).

I click the link and I get the mirrors, click the download mirrors and get sent to adds or other sites.

I am sure I have missed something, can you tell me what it is.

PS I think that the stock game is a bit boring, I recommend to download one of the mods! But that is silly ol`me who says so!
