Solved How to collect pearls from tartanes?

I found pearl divers' tartanes that Sharpe mentioned, but I don't know how to take pearls from them. I cannot board them, only sink and when I get close to them, they don't give pearls.

just sail down the line of their ships, close like you're going to board, and they'll just hand over what they have, thats the way i did it.

If you have a very large ship( galleon class 1 or 2 )- sailing close to the tartanes can cause them to sink.

So make sure you are sailing a medium sized ship that is reasonably fast - since the tartanes will try and sail away from you.

yes get a mid sized ship i did this mission with a spanish man of war and it is difficult to not crash them
