Fixed Hispaniola Buccaneer Camp: Town Capture Boarding Locators Missing

landed troops to take over buccaneer camp on isle de hispanola and the shore battle with no problem. going to the next phase i get a black screen and F1 F2 works fine.

when landing troops to take over buccaneer camp i can get through the shore fight but the next phase i get a black screen. F1 F2 still work.

That explains it.

Question though: why is that file corrupted/missing?
Could you have an erroneous install with more files missing?
 
i know not, everything else so far has been without problems. can you send those individual file or files missing? or what do you think is the solution.
 
Turns out, I don't have that file either.
Which means it may not exist at all.
And nobody noticed because nobody tried to attack that town.

@Jack Rackham, was that location 'recently' replaced?
I see files dating to 2018, which is not too long ago.
 
It's a bit confusing.

First why do we have smugglers lair in 2 places?
1) MODELS/Locations/Smuggler Lair with folders exit and town
2) MODELS/Locations/outside with folders smugglerLairExit and smugglerLairTown

Case 1) is from stock potc and which the game uses at Aruba and in the GoldBug for ex
Case 2) is only used in Buccaneers Camp (Hispaniola)

I don't have the missing file in any of the 2 cases. (Should be in case 2)

I have made those 2 missing ones by copying/renaming them from case 1) files
Hope it works.

Ok the locations are a little different. One POTC and one AOP style.

I'm confused.
The file doesn't exist in my game folder.
Which suggests it wasn't made at all.

Or are you referring to your post above?
But you say you copied it from the PotC-style location into this AoP-style location.
If they're indeed different locations, that would prevent the black screen, but all locators would still be in the wrong spots...
 
When I copied those files I had no idea there was a difference. The question is if the difference is so small that it could
pass or at least serve as a start for a proper location file.

Here the boarding locator files are, now fixed.
The smuggler lair exit was easy, just to move 3 locators.
Town: I copied the standard locatorfile for this town and added the special locs and alocs for boarding + deleted the exit.
Then I checked and only 2 locators had to be moved a little.

The new Buccaneers Camp was imported by @Bartolomeu o Portugues.

Thanks, @Jack Rackham for the locator files! Since you included a locator file for the exit, let's make use of it. A quick tweak to "PROGRAM\Towns\InitTowns.c" adds the exit to the attack sequence. (At the moment, if you attack Buccaneers Camp, you go straight from the beach to the camp.)

The "locatorb" file for the town seems to based on the one from La Grenade Smugglers Lair, in that defenders spawn on the platform outside the door of the big house at the end of the street. That platform is different on the house in Buccaneers Camp, so the defenders can not move. I moved their locators a little forward and dropped them to ground level, and now they charge to attack my men.
