get points for donating to church

at some point making money is too easy and the struggle to buy necessary goods are extinguished due to having alot of it, no challenge... but at least if i wanted to give the church some money (donation) i should get some good points for doing so.. maybe some other ways to give money and receive points, like donating money to crew. like when u pay them money to raise their morale..

Donating to the church should already improve your reputation.

You could switch crew payment to dividing plunder, also known as signing articles. Every so often you'll need to either visit a loanshark, or talk to your quartermaster while you're in port, to do the dividing. Some of your ship money stays, a portion of it goes to your personal wealth, the rest disappears as it's shared among your crew and officers. Crew morale can go higher than if you're paying by salary. If you're a privateer or pirate, you'll have to switch to payment by dividing plunder when you have over 1,000,000 gold, otherwise the crew become envious and morale drops faster than a cannonball thrown overboard.
