Exquisite Spyglass but no clue of distance??

Hyde

Landlubber
I was wondering you can't get a clue about the distance of ships, forts etc through your spyglass. It would realy help by getting into shooting distance and it would make sense. Who would call himself a good navigator if he can't even guess a distance at seas...

Anyway, the "radar" at the top right of the screen shows the range of your cannons. If there's a ship in one of the shaded quadrants, it's in range of your cannons.

hehe yeah well, the spyglass is just that good to see the skills of the captain and his officers so i thought the distance would fit in there too.

Thanks for the hint with the radar. Going to check it out. Seems like this game still bears some treasures *g
