The Orient is now available to explore with the El Oriente expansion to CJ Games Global's Uncharted Waters Online, the free-to-play historical massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for the PC. Beginning today, players can explore the visually stunning China region, overflowing with culture and hidden treasure, as well as the bustling Taiwan region, full of exotic commodities and dangerous trade ports. The new regions, along with a host of new content are now available to be explored for free by registering at the game's official site.

Following in the footsteps of Marco Polo, aspiring merchants will first have to earn the trust of the Chinese and Taiwanese peoples before being able to trade for new commodities as well as rare and exotic goods on the new Nanban (Southern Barbarian) Trade market. But the effort is worth it, as up-to-the-minute fluctuations in prices can quickly make players rich if they have the right commodities.

"El Oriente is one of our biggest updates yet, with nearly 300 new quests, 100 discoveries and 30 new ships for players," said Jon Merriex, Producer, CJ Games Global. "This update also adds a whole new dimension for players who enjoy trading, and we can't wait to see how high their profits go. Just beware, gold doesn't offer protection from pirates."

With the new China and Taiwan regions, two new dungeons are also available to players. In the southern Sichuan province lies the great Leshan Giant Buddha - carved into the mountainside, the Buddha is the gateway to deep dungeons teeming with ancient treasure, coin-filled chests and untold dangers. On the northwestern coast of Taiwan is Fort San Domingo, the red castle ruins long-abandoned by the Spanish, which protects more dungeons filled with secrets to unlocking new trade.

Distributed by Netmarble, the game portal from CJ Games Global, and developed by TECMO KOEI GAMES, Uncharted Waters Online is set in the romantic Age of Exploration. Players can choose the path of a merchant, soldier or adventurer, with each path providing a distinct way to experience the game. With countless lands awaiting exploration and thousands of artifacts to discover, Uncharted Waters Online offers a level of content that can satisfy core and casual players alike.
