Need Help Creating a Ship

I'm not sure if it is possible for me to create a new ship but i like this game (POTC) very much and I'm willing to try.Is there any detailed tutorial how to do this?

Do you have a particular type of ship in mind? It's always wise to start small- the bigger you go the more repetitive tasks and complexities there are, which can be daunting on the first try!
