Build Pre 13 not up on the website?

Hi! Im "new" to these boards ( I had an account here many months ago, years even... back when creating islands was thought to be basically impossible! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/urgh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":urgh" border="0" alt="urgh.gif" /> ). I had the Xbox version, and sold it (unwillingly, I may add, I thought it was an awesome game). Then I came here the other day, and saw how all you guys basically turned it into a Pirate's dream! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/doff.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doff" border="0" alt="doff.gif" /> So I decided it was worth picking up another copy, but for the PC this time.
It's being shipped as we speak!

But enough about my past... The thing is, I cant download the pre 13 build. I managed to dowload the full build 12 a few days ago, but it seems that builds 12 and up were taken off the downloads page, all that is there is build 10 and build 11... Am I looking in thw wrong place or what? I've tried following the links posted in this forum, but it just takes me to builds 10 and 11.

Oh, and one last thing, Is there a page where I can read ALL the mods in build 12/ pre 13?
I'd like to read up on everything I've missed while I wait for my game to arrive!
 
Just checked - looks like we are indeed missing the download. Would you like me to put it up on emule p2p?

I've been having the same type of trouble, I can get Build 12.1 but preB13 doesn't download for me, it always comes to a dead end, the updates are Page cannot be displayed messages and the downloads area for the base version leads me to

How exactly can it be obtained, i can't seem to find it downloadable? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
I have set this file up on the p2p (using emule personally). The file name is pre_b13_base.zip. The size is a little under 300Mb. Everybody is welcome to download it. I'll keep the machine running overnight and more (bar the occasional reboots), until the regular download link is fixed.

To be able to download the file, you must install a p2p application (emule works well for me). Google for emule to get it and find out what the whole p2p (peer to peer) thing is about.
 
Update: I've checked the mule, it says there were 2 requests already. however, they terminated shortly after starting. Any p2p expert around to tell me how to ensure the requester downloads the whole thing? I have the upload priority on "release" for this file, there are no other files shared or requested (I am running a fresh install of my system).

Failing that, I'll try to upload the thing to the rapidshare. That is if I don't get any suggestions on this within 24 hours. I still haven't found out if the rapidshare is free, but I hope it is. If it isn't, I'll try to find another way.
 
Grrrr... another request, and also failing after 2 Mb...

Well, it seems I will have to wait for the build to be uploaded again so I can download it (theres only certain times I can make downloads).

So, just so I know what to expect, is everything in <a href="http://pieter.piratesahoy.org/features.htm" target="_blank">this page</a> is NOT in the Full Build 12? Or is that a recap of previous builds?

That's a feature list for the Build as of about 6 months ago. Of course more features have since been added to the Build.

Yeah I was wondering about the pre 13 build download too, Now im downloading it from IncredibleHat. Thank you! (at 18kb/sec though, gonna be here a while hehe)


Got a question: Will I be able to use my save games from build 12 with pre 13 or do i have to start a new game again?

hi im new to this forum, and have been playing PoTC for a while now, and have played some of the earlier build mods an thought they were great, an then stopped for a while, and now i thought i would re install PoTC and put the latest build mod on, BUT ALAS!! my PC doesnt want to download V12.1,!! I can download all the other cool extras like the music, mapships addon, and the pre 13 build but not the v12.1, so is there another place i can try to download it from please?

also, sorry for being picky, but dad doesnt let me use p2p or any software that helps downloading, an sein as he is a microsoft certified guy who does a lot of programming and heavy computing all day, he knows eeevvvvrryything that goes through my PC

You might want to remove the word 'just' from your sig file. At present 'Im not just some pervert' does not exclude the possibility that you are in fact a pervert, but happen to be something else as well. Is there much need for that explanation anyway? You are more likely to labelled a black metal fan with a name like 'Lord Goatboy' than someone with carnal desires for livestock. Then again, I'm not sure which is worse...
 
Oooooookay. Let's stop while we're ahead, eh mates?

Here's the situation on the build mod:

Our ISP fruited when they saw us burst over 200mbps CONSISTENT because of the mod. I have had to turn it off for the moment. I am waiting for confirmation today from IT Works (our old hoster) to get our file space set up over there so we have a downloader. I am also looking around for Mirrors to host this file.

I appreciate everyone's patience in this matter. It sucks, I know. I'm doing what I can to get this moving on as fast as possible.
