    In general, these are mainly fixes. Any larger and more experimental updates have been excluded.

    While there is a fair bit of stuff in the works, there is nothing much ready for a proper new update.

    Yes I Can switch ships now ha best feature so far

    Well I played a bit more after downloading this update and boy does it make a load of difference so far one the naval combat a bit of lag ( it is a work in progress and coding is stressful as fuck ) but the game is not crashing as much as it did before and trading at port feels smoother as well and this naval battle was a small one but it lasted long than the average time my battles lasted and thank god for the ability for naval captains to swap ship I can now capture myself a better frigate if there is one keep up the good work guys and girls

    Going to check out Elizabeth Swan's pirate outfit and l.t Bush custom skin

    Game performance should be no different in this version compared to the Beta 4.0 public release.

    I assume when you say "the ability for naval captains to swap ship", you have already reached the rank of Commodore?
    It is indeed intentional that once you reach a higher rank, even as Naval Officer you can swap ships. Just not in the early game.
    There was accidentally a line of old code left in before that prevented that. So good to hear that is indeed working as intended now. :doff

    Well i was a commander until I deleted that save so I just said okay I was promoted two ranks plus I like the uniform

    New Game not enforced
    But very strongly recommended for all updates and changes to fully take effect!

    In general, these are mainly fixes. Any larger and more experimental updates have been excluded.
    The only extra improvements are Improved Fast Travel and the Wine/Rum at the Cartagena Tavern; both require a new game to try!
    Soldiers on enemy navy ships now use special weapons again and the Ardent Storyline has been extended.

    I think my game version is now up-to-date again with all the latest updates that have been posted the past week or so.
    And I also updated the Bug Tracker forum with the latest status of all issues that I am aware of.

    With some luck, this weekend I'll be able to find the opportunity to look into some stuff myself before making another EXE.
    Though if preferred, I could also make the new update first (e.g. possibly even before the weekend starts) and then see what other stuff I can fix.
    Might not be a bad idea, since there are rather a lot of separate fixes posted by now and it would be good to get those cleared out.

    What do you guys prefer? Choice is yours. :doff

    Some of the latest fixes really do require a New Game to be started, most notably the finished Apothecary sidequest and the "Stuck in Cartagena" fix.
    I wonder if it is time to ENFORCE a New Game for this update. Anyone got any thoughts on that....? :rolleyes:

    To enforce a new game in this update will be nice. To avoid all those bug reports
    about bugs there are fixed. So I think it is the time to do that,yes. And there could
    be a lot of other reasons to enforce a new game,

    The Ardent Storyline has been extended again by @Grey Roger and the Apothecary/Strange Plants sidequest finally has an ending, courtesy of @Jack Rackham!
    As an added bonus, HMS Victory now has an updated and more historically accurate paint scheme as explained here by @Armada:
