Presumably that contents lists only covers the changes since the previous WIP release, rather than since Beta 2.3?
Just checking, as this isn't explicitly made clear. :wp Will test the file soon.

I figured that would make it simpler for people to understand, otherwise you'd get a REAL wall of text.

I think you can install on top of the previous version. :yes

Very well ... first problem here:

I don't get the game to a fitting resolution now.

Strange thing about is ... in game graphics are all well as high resoluted as I remember them, but all interface look low res.

I installed into my games folder, deleted options as suggested, and started engine.exe to get it running, went in advanced options, thus creating a new options.ini, and then restarted via desktop "my application" to set to proper resolution.
Which seems to work for ingame graphics, but not for interface.
 
Try using the Config.exe and set the Texture quality to High. Sounds like you somehow got it to Low, even though I don't understand why that would happen. :facepalm

Setting "colour quality" in config to low did it. Was at medium before.
Lower setting for better result ... who would have thought about that now.
 
Arr ... Pieter you're right.

I was mistaken. It was at medium, and now setting it to the left position improved it. But left is high, right is low. So you're right, and I'm wrong, as always ... :aar
 
I just installed beta 2_5, deleted the options folder, and started the game. The first thing is to reset options. It can not be done because neither the arrows or the slider on the right hand side do anything. I could not scroll down to set any options.

In the Advanced Options menu? I noticed that too. The arrow keys work though.
You're telling me the mouse DID work there before? Maybe I removed a bit too much code; can look into it.
 
Found something:

In advanced options, the setting you did is usually shown. So that you could go back and look what setting you actually use.
This is not the case with "ships will surrender".
I changed this setting, but whenever I leave that option, and then go back, it shows me 0, which is different from what I set. As soon I start changing, it remembers the number previously set.

Indeed I noticed that as well. I suspect it is just rounding it to the nearest single digit. Would need to check the code for that...
 
That would make sense, for I usually use a very low setting <0.5. Rounded that would be just 0.0.
By the way, even with such a low setting, ships seem to strike colours very often. In fact, in my recent pirate game I rarely had to board a ship. Most of them surrendered after being shot at some times. I consider this being relistic for merchants though.
But some ships surrender before shot at ... very strange that is.

Jack Sparrow storyline seems to be removed?

EDIT: Nevermind. I switched to Realistic mode on the fly and it seems to be working like I want.

Really? I know I had renamed it to "JackSparrow" instead of "LegendJackSparrow" in my own code files,
but though I excluded that change on purpose for simplicity's sake. :facepalm
