I've encountered several bugs in post_b12_upd_25-5-06. The first bug irking me occurs in quebradas costillas. Nigel Blythe's dialogue somehow changes to the dialogue of that of the tortuga/pirate/quebradas whatever townguard. And after that the game freezes. Also had similar problems with silehard, in the prison after atwood helps Nathaniel jailbreak. His dialogue is normal, but the conversation gets cut off <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> .
 
The Nigel/Artois bug is known. Maximus tried fixing it, but apparently it still doesn't work in yesterday's 30 May version either. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I've not heard of those other dialogs not working. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
 
Another one. The oxbay trader inside the town now is er .. he has a guy standing "in" him, like the same exact spot.
 
I fixed that one a couple of days ago. Please download the latest update from my site.

Uh, I never saw the problem until that latest update from your site. The file on my computer has a date created of May 31, 2006, 5:53:43 AM and a modified time of May 31, 2006, 9:48:12 AM. (These times are probably modified for Central time, GMT-6) Can you tell me if I have the proper "updated" file? I'm not going to do another 4 hour download unless I have to. Thanks.

Please check the dat in "Post Build 12 Version.txt". Make sure it is the 30 May release. Also: Open up PROGRAM\Characters\init\Obay.c and see if "Ed Postle" is in there. That is the offending character; I removed him to solve the problem. He's no important character anyway; just another Oxbay citizen who never was there in the first place. Please note: He will only be gone after starting a new game. He won't disappear from current games.
 
Ah. Ok, yes I was able to download it. Now, for some reason, the prisoners in the deck have zero abilities, zero skills, and if I try to kill 'em they still keep appearing over and over again every time I enter the deck even though they're supposed to be dead. Either they're haunting me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" /> or there's bug
 
There's a bug with the prisoners. I noticed some weirdness there as well. I'll contact Maximus; he made the mod.
 
As I said last night the pirsoner problem appears to occur only when the prisoner is in the uniform of a nation. The only I have captured so far in my test have been French. Prisoners in civilian clothes have skill and ability points. Also, I captured the three French Picket ships off Oxbay and they had civilian dressed captains and points. Based on this the problem, which was present in earlier version appears to be in "ze uniform" .
 
Now you mention it, I WAS able to ransom a pirate prisoner, but not the French prisoners. I think you are on to something. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />
 
Strange. I've captured the french captaind off oxbay, and the're the ones I frequntly have most of my problems with.
 
I have experience a bug where i boarded a sloop from a schooner and i went through 3 decks and the 4th one i was trapped in the master cabin... with no enemies and my crew drawing swords... no way out.
 
That last bug might be fixed as soon as the fixed LAi_boarding.c file is added. Good point about that one, really.

Maximus made some fixes recently. I'll work on making these available later today. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
