Another Montelban's hideout problem

I've been playing pirates for a while and its a great game but now i'm stuck finding Montelban's hideout. I never had problems finding something on a map but the problem that this map hasn't got a shoreline, only a lake on it.
This is the screen of the map where i can find the hideout.

It says search south east of vila hermoza.

Here i'll find geysers a cabin dead trees etc but nothing that triggers an event. is this the right spot or do i've look to somewhere else.
I've been everywhere looking for evil montelban

It seems, that you are east of Villa Hermosa but not southeast.
I suggest to look for the little lake with cutlass cape, because that seems to be the best way to find the right location.

The problem is that i can't find a lake with cutlass cape if i look from the sea. But i've been walking for ages. And my pirates didn't like that walking either <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The cabin you came across must be the one on the map, because in my experience cabins don't appear as random landmarks. So going SW from that cabin should lead you to the other landmarks, the lake and the hideout (the hideout itself has the appearance of a city, in case you didn't know that yet).

If you're looking for cutlass cape you need to look further south than you've marked on that map. It's in the corner near Port Cache. There's a landmark of cutthroat reef but if you zoom out you can see a lake (south west) a little further inland. That's where the Cutlass Cape is!

Guys, I realise its about 12 years too late, but it took me 6 hours to find this place. Between walking across the entire isthmus and crossing North-South 4 times, I eventually found it.

Simplest way is to go to the Pirate hideout La Crique (think that's how its spelt) on the West-most point of the gulf of Honduras... There you'll see "Cuthroat Reef" and JUST South-West of that, from the sea, you can spot Cutlas Cape (sneaky lil ****er)

Hope this helps anybody else in the world on how to find Cutlast Cape and the hideout associated with it.
