    A BUG?

    I think it's up to Adventurer level, your first battle with any nationality your ship won't take any damage. That's the perfect opportunity to go after a named pirate first thing in the game, you can pick up a nicely outfitted ship right away and be on every countries good side at the same time.

    The captain of the guard in the tavern, any point?

    I use them as practice. Since you don't get thrown in jail or anything if you lose, these guys are good to work on combinations and feints.
