Thanks for all the info! I downloaded the texture pack and I'll start playing with it. The drawing is also very useful. I will make a thread in the weapons forum once I have an updated version.

By the way, this is currently 5k verts, 10k edges, 5k faces.

OK, here's what I got so far on the 32 pounder: Before I continue, I have a couple questions. @Wedori, maybe you or someone else can help me with this. 1. Does it make sense that I make the whole carriage myself, or can I copy (and rescale) parts from already finished cannons? How should I...

Hoi Pieter, I'm currently working on this cannon for Wedori (in Maya), but I could have a look at it at some point. What do you mean with 'getting it to work': like exporting it into the CryEngine?

Ehm... I'm afraid this discussion is getting a little beyond me :-) Perhaps you could just send me the drawings of the 32 pounder then: I'm eager to get started. Or are you guys still debating which guns need to be made in the first place?

If you have both plans I would be happy to look into it: I have a strong math background so I should be able to...

Haha, no problem, this was just a little exercise for myself and I happened to find a drawing of that 24lb gun. I'd be happy to work on the 18 pounder next! Do you know where I can find a drawing of one of those? Also, if I have some basic modelling questions, can I turn to you?

Thanks, I contacted him. Waiting for a reply. In the meantime I just decided to have some fun and created this 24lb cannon. No idea if it's any good. Probably it's way too detailed.

Not really, I'm afraid. Haven't gone much beyond some tutorials. But if you give me a simple task to experiment on I think I could pick it up quickly.

Hello all! I am very enthusiastic about this project and I would like to contribute. I know the basics of 3D modelling; mainly using Blender, but I do have Maya installed as well. Since I am a beginner, I was hoping that maybe there are some simple objects I could start with. Perhaps a cannon I...
