A little bit modern, a little bit fancy with a tiny bit traditional.

Is this going to be possible?

If I could learn to code, I would love to help put it together. I'm good with photoshop if that helps.

Everything is possible; eventually.

At the moment though the project is at a stage where it really needs to be kept as simple as possible.
But eventually, the sky is the limit.

Specifically, for the time being, there are no massive overhauls planned for the interface, just to keep things simple.
But at some point of the future, I'm certain that will change.

You are more than welcome to throw some concepts out there. It is just as easy to wire up a new UI as it is to wire up the existing one. The sooner we have the systems ironed out, the sooner they can be implemented.

The current priority is mostly to make the UI functional, though some menus will be laid out differently to make them more intuitive.
We're using the PotC textures for convenience and familiarity, but there are certainly some low-res components that could do with replacing at some point.

For example, looking at the latest version and how it handles the F2 menus, I think having the different tabs arranged vertically at the left side of the screen would be better than having them running along the top like they do now. It would look better, be more intuitive and easy to navigate at a glance, and it would avoid the need for that awkward "More..." button. Of course that would change the amount and shape of the avialble space and may open a new can of worms, but if there are plans for reworking the UI without creating a new one from scratch, that would be one of the first things I'd like to see.

Not a bad idea, actually.
With so many wide-screen computers these days, there's definitely sense in that. :onya

I actually considered that a while ago, though I wasn't sure if people would like that sort of change. I can certainly look into it, because I agree it would be neater than the current layout.
