The mod looks good.

There is also a background for the world map that includes island region boundaries. I'm not sure where to find that, but you might want to include it in your guide.

I'm doing some program mods but they're not yet ready for release. I think the most popular one so far is hiding the cannon aiming crosshair by default when you're on deck so the guns auto-aim like they do in third person view. You can press the C key to get the crosshair to fire an aimed shot.

Actually i have this mod with map boundaries but i think it's too lore-breaking or something to upload it on this guide, it's some sort of a cheating or i dont know :p
Also theres a lot of cool additions or even mods using PROGRAM folder but sadly program unpacking is forbidden by the developers so theres almost no way to discuss or upload them public in russian community, because it's leaders are very loyal to the BM.
But theres a bunch of guys, whos making almost a new game combining all questlines from AOP2 with Sea Dogs TEHO ones, and they are adding new cities and towns, remaking current ones, adding new ships and more. It goes slow, but the work they've done already is huge. But it's still only in Russian :C

It might work better to go the other way: Take the good stuff from TEHO and add it to COAS, if only because you don't have to re-do any work every time a new version of TEHO is released, and it wouldn't depend on Steam. Or maybe that's what they're already doing. :)

The world map with borders is essential for me, because I do all my sailing on the deck of my ship, first person mode, no time compression, and I only go the world map to cross a region boundary or find a quest ship that requires using the world map. So I sail 30 nautical miles northeast, go to the world map long enough to cross the border, than back to my deck. Without the borders on the world map, I spend way too much time there. It's been popular with the people testing my mod.
