Thanks for your reply, but I discovered the problem. I had confused the flag used by the Spanish in GOF with the British flag (that of my own country x.X).- Zimdictive

England started hostile to France, and France started allied with the Dutch (and still are). England have since become neutral towards France, and France has loved me all along. And as I said in my first message, I tried paying off a diplomat re: my English relations, and it made no difference...- Zimdictive

I'm flying a French flag (legitimately) in a GOF game (latest version, patch). According to the relations matrix, France are presently neutral towards England (an image of set of scales, right?). Yet, when I come into one of their ports, I cannot dock, and their fort fires at me on sight. I...- Zimdictive
