The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt

It's been released for free on Steam. Like any free to play game with microtransactions, progress is a slow grind unless you pay but at least there are not wait times, so that's a plus. So is that your starting ship is a ketch with marconi rig in the mizzen, just like the one in my avatar, a yacht from 1926 turned training ship on which I've been sailing for the last 12 years (sadly, our foundation couldn't afford to maintain her anymore and we've had to donate her to a private owner at the other side of the country:().

It's alright, I guess. It's a mobile port with microtransactions, but it's not the worse example of its kind. If you don't mind grinding, it can be played without spending a cent. And they keep updating it regularly, which is nice.

Could someone who plays it tell me how bad the grind really is? I'm not interested engaging in another F2P-game which is just as worse as Pirates of the Burning Sea.

It`s a game for phone but you can play on PC for free. It`s pretty easy and there is no need to buy anything to finish the game.

Yea it's a nice one where you can spend a few days grinding, but it doesn't have the open world as in NH, AOP, TEHO, etc.

Yeah okay, with the free Clipper, it's way too easy at the start when you can just overwhelm everything due to superior crew numbers and send off to swashbuckling adventures for money.

Still have to figure out how to properly aim with the cannons.

Unfortunately, it's pretty obvious from the UI alone that it's cheap as hell.

I don't aim... just go in range of your side or front/back cannons then it auto shoots!

Okay, it does have an Open World with wrecks, flotsam and random encounters, but you have to manually select "Open World" in the map screen. Also, the view range is hilariously short, where your glasses are the only way to discern what that thing in the distance is.

yea well for a free game I never complained about it... so our next big hope for massive naval entertainment shall come from New Horizons (I pray it will be on Steam so there can be achievements to make us feel good about ourselves!)

Yea but I mean Steam achievements, so when we have grandchildren we can show them some great accomplishments we did in life!

"i played Pirates: Carribean hunt on my phone, developed by Home Net Games (you can download it on Play Store), there's some rations of rum too, which increases crew's morale or work harder"

Anyone else here familiar with this one?

I gave it a try a few years ago, it's free on Steam and on mobile, with microtransactions (including many ships that you can only buy). It's ok for a while for what it is, but nothing spectacular.

I did manage to sort of re-create the ship from my avatar, that I used to sail on, using the customization options (colors and some rigging variants if I recall, like switching the default gaff sail in the mizzen with a Bermuda rig). That was fun

Hello

Forgot to mention, there's a port which is located to the most Southern part of the map i believe, its named Santos

m'favorite ship was the Clipper, its very fast, it could even reach like more than 24 knots if i use it on a stormy night, if i use rum, it could reach 25 knots i believe, yes i use it for exploring, not fighting, since i like exploring something out of the box (like exploring Southern of Santos, which there's nothing's there except for the land of South America)
