After months of development, we're proud to release GoF! 1.2 Full Release version 1.0 Patch 1.0, the name might be complicated but a lot has work has been put into this release and we're pleased with the results.

We also would like to announce that this will the the final release of GoF!, although we plan to release one or two patches after this release; this is the final major release of the mod. The GoF! team has decided to end development of GoF! and take some time off to enjoy the game and pursue other projects. Fear not! for the team does plan to return to CoAS one day soon but for the time being, we've decided to cast off the lines and set sail for other seas. :sail

Starting a new game is HIGHLY recommended.

Its good to finally see GOF released. I am sure you guy's will have as much fun playing the game as we did putting it all together, please see the read me's for both GOF 1.0 and the read me for GOF 1.1 to see everything that was done, from new features, bug fixes and changes made. Have fun, its been a long wait but you will feel like your playing a whole new game, so have fun and thank you to everyone who has contributed to GOF. Its been fun working with you all again and look forward to working with you all again, but for now its off to play GOF. :dance
 
I am finishing up my short story and new promotional that I will put on MODDB. I want to add to the AND MUCH MORE: category,

And more importantly:

- Dozens of new improved textures for building interiors and character models by Officerpuppy

Apart from the main menu, I didn't do much. And even the main menu was based on AoP 1 and the German Mod.

I am re-uploading it again, for some reason it didn't fully upload and i have no idea why. The actual size is 106MB's not 386Kb's, maybe their was some kind of interferance with the connection when it was uploading. I was out at the time so i don't know.

I like the new interface, but i hope the annoying beeping sound will get fix'd soon because i am even after patch 1.1 experiencing it and so is the mysterious encounter still there where you see nothing but the blue sea and no other enemy ships at all.

Still a great mod and even after 10 hours i only saw like 0,1% of the new ships and it has never been more fun before, fighting on deck and boarding those retextured ships.

Oh and i suggest that we add some type of new bug tracker on the forums just for G.o.F., I know i demand it somewhat fast but it is never to soon to squash those frilly bugs, aye?

When you installed GOF 1.1 followed by its patch GOF 1.1 you did install them over a fresh copy of COAS right?

Some things was removed from GOF so files that was in CMV3.2 are no longer in GOF which means they could conflict. The reason i ask is because we have done in access of at least 200 hours or more testing and none of us ever had a single encounter problem. This was fixed in the patch GOF 1.1 which was been tested as it was been put together and tested the full patch was finished.

Are you playing with realistic encounters on or off?
Are you, no in fact it will be easier if you tell me which of the game mods found in options game mods (tab on bottom right corner) which of them you have set on and which you have turned off?
 
I am getting a few instances of no ships appearing when you go to sailing mode after encountering an enemy in world view. Doesn't happen often, and when it does it's only in the first couple levels. Once you level up a little, it never happens.

Typical so it isn't a install error. We had something similar happen in CMV3.2. In testing no bugs was found and the day it was released i had the ship error at sea message, i haven't had that poticular error myself since we fixed it and it does seem fixed however this problem with no ships been generated is back again. I thourght we had fixed this one. :modding At least in testing it was never reported and i never had any problems and still don't and i am only rank 3 because of starting over last night.

Umm no actually i installed GOF over my existing CMV3.2 because no one mentioned that i would need a fresh copy of that game -_-* Anyway maybe thats the reason why i keep on getting thrown out of the game for no reason... once it was the exe today and once it was while loading an encounter today -_-* greeeeaaat now i will be busy with installing this game and the mods patches for the next 30min-1hour -_-*

awww hopefully then there will be crashfree game and no annoying beeping... really the beeping sound is thew most annoying thing i have ever experienced...

later on i will post in here if the problems are still there (mainly if the beeping sound is still there) or if it was just a conflict problem ;)
 
You can get different colored sails for your ships from the pirate shipyard now (currently only black red and blue, but that can be changed easily)

hmm where? when i talk to that bermuda guy there is only the oppotunity on tuning my ship but he does not say anything about the possibility of changing th ship's sails. would be cool if that is possible, ehm is it even possible to change the type of sails? For example to exchange those rugged ones with the white ones? In AOP this was an option and i have no clue why it isn't even implemented, same for the plating ;)


Oh and btw just reinstalled the whole game and guess what? I still have the beeping sound when it loads encounter but just like MK mentioned after the first months it is working fine with the encounters;)

so how do i change them? i cannot find a way to change em... can someone give me a guide on how to change em up?

Btw there's a texture problem with the line frigate and the standard frigate:
Line frigate:
does not display the crew on the ship (seems more like a abadoned ship to me ^^)

i don't know for long how it has been, but now when you look into the window of the frigate you see the raw skull of the ship which destroys the piratic athmosphere and this ship type is one of my favourites :p i waited to spawn for it for like 2 hours and then i saw that you are able to look through the window and see only the walls, guns and the water in it... awww can sumone please fix this? Hoping for a soon patch ^^

I just had the most retardedst moment ever^^ i just felt like jack sparrow when he fell into that grave in the film... OMG you can scroll in the ship upgrading??!! Never ever realized before that many thanks pal^^

There is a Mod by Philippe with colored sails and any emblems, I've adopted it for CMv3.2.1 and it works quite fine for me.
So I don't think that this is a technical problem.
So it is ideological?
 
No we had finished GOF already and was trying to release it, we just couldn't because of the FTP issue's and work on the patch was more about fixing things than adding new content.
 
First guys let me say that this Mod is awsome :onya
but I have a problem at the begining i could recruit officers in tavers but after a quest with Nathaniel Butler (steal some silver from France) I can't recruit officers anymore. If i ask them the only thing that i can say is " I have a full crew." But I do not have one :woot
