Where's Captain Blood? PDF Print E-mail

ImageHere's an interesting one for you. Captain Blood, Akella's storybook PC game based on Sabatini's novel has gone missing! There is now no mention of this either at Akella nor over at Playlogics games lineup. There is however still a forum for it over at Playlgic with the last moderator updade in May '07!

I'm going out on a limb here and saying that Akella are not working on this title anymore after the last two titles (Swashbucklers & AOP) were not "best sellers". If anyone has some inside news on this I would be happy to hear.

I had some stuff I found, its on the old forum, The findings were this game has been pulled. its being retooled and renamed. It no longer has anything to do with Captain Blood. I read this on the Russian Akella boards. The fans went crazy with the direction the game was taking. it became a Prince of Persia clone.

Yeah I would agree then, Mulder, the mod from the Playlogic board wrote that they are having a big say in the direction it's going. Looks like a console platformer from now on then I guess.

Cheers Yo Ho, but look at who the developer is at the 1C page, some mob called Sea Dogs, I'm going to start a rumor that Akella has split up a bit and this new group is from Akella.
